Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide visible daily leadership on the selling floor: supervise, coach, mentor and train the selling team to ensure exemplary client service and achievement of sales targets.
  • Own Métier merchandising and visual standards for assigned floors, identify stock needs, and coordinate with the Managing Director, Operations and Merchant teams.
  • Prepare for and attend bi-annual buys (Podium) for areas of responsibility; partner with Merchants on buying decisions and assortment strategy.
  • Set monthly Métier priorities and run measurable selling campaigns, contests and incentives to drive incremental business.
  • Deliver weekly leadership reporting: sales vs. plan by group and floor, team performance, opportunities and operational issues; present business updates to store leadership.
  • Conduct individual productivity analysis and monthly one‑to‑one coaching; write and deliver annual performance appraisals and address performance issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory processes and cycle counts; partner with Operations Director to reconcile discrepancies and control shrinkage.
  • Assume full store leadership in the absence of the Managing Director and liaise with support teams and security to ensure adherence to policy and productivity targets.
  • Manage P&L accountability: meet sales and budget plans, control payroll within budget and uphold loss‑prevention goals.
  • Resolve escalated client and store issues, participate in hiring and promotion recommendations, and contribute to merchandising and commercial decisions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of prior store management experience or flagship Assistant Store Manager experience.
  • Previous buying experience relevant to the floor of responsibility.
  • Proven track record of managing multi‑person teams and reporting to executive and merchant levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 3–5 weeks annually to Paris).
  • Professional presence; capable of interacting with all levels of management and clientele. Knowledge of French helpful.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 130,013 to USD 153,650 per annum.
