Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent team leadership, floor presence, and hands-on métier management with balanced attention to all teams and floors
  • Achieve Floor Group Métier Sales volume and Selling Team total goaled volume targets
  • Prepare for, participate in, and attend bi-annual Podium buying sessions with full responsibility for corresponding areas
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and train the selling team on a daily basis, leading by example to ensure excellent client service
  • Manage métier merchandising for assigned floors, identifying and communicating daily stock needs to Managing Director, Operations Management, and Merchant teams
  • Ensure visual standards and merchandising excellence are maintained across floor responsibilities
  • Develop and execute monthly métier focus initiatives and sales campaigns to drive incremental business improvement
  • Conduct monthly Individual Productivity meetings with Sales Associates, analysing performance by métier and setting performance goals
  • Write and deliver annual performance appraisals and address performance issues in a timely manner
  • Provide weekly business reporting and presentations at Leadership meetings, including sales analysis, team highlights, and business opportunities
  • Manage inventory preparation, cycle counts, and partner with Operations Director to reconcile discrepancies
  • Represent store leadership in the absence of the Managing Director and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Oversee P&L responsibility, sales and budget plan adherence, and payroll budget management
  • Monitor shrinkage and loss prevention company goals
  • Maintain consistent communication with Managing Director and store management team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of prior Store Management experience or flagship Assistant Store Manager experience
  • Previous buying experience relative to floor responsibility
  • Individual management of multi-person teams
  • Prior reporting and presentation experience with Executive management and Merchant levels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams
  • Critical and creative thinking capabilities
  • Proficiency with presentations and comfortable interacting with senior executives and clients

Experience

Minimum 3 years of Store Management experience, or extensive flagship Assistant Store Manager experience in luxury retail. Proven track record of managing multi-person selling teams with responsibility for sales performance, merchandising, and staff development. Prior experience reporting to Executive and Merchant management levels with demonstrated ability to conduct financial and business analysis. Experience working directly with clients in high-end retail environments and independently resolving client requests.
