Hermès Sèvres boutique seeks a Fitter and Alterations Specialist for a two-week fixed-term position (Sept 7–19, 2026) in Paris, coordinating uniforms for 180 employees.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate fittings and manage a master schedule for approximately 180 employee uniform appointments over a two-week period
- Manage inventory of 2,500 uniform pieces and accessories, including assembly and tracking of individual employee kits
- Oversee alterations management and communicate daily with local tailoring contractors regarding hem work and other modifications
- Prepare, organize, and distribute completed employee uniform kits with accurate documentation
- Execute basic alterations such as hemming and textile handling as needed
- Maintain updated kit lists and inventory records to ensure accurate stock levels and distribution
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of professional experience in alterations, textile logistics, or backstage wardrobe management
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and inventory management with high-volume textile materials
- Proficiency in manual alteration work, particularly hemming and textile manipulation
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, collaborative attitude
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity under demanding time constraints
