Hermès Korea seeks a Financial Planning Analyst in Seoul to support FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the FP&A Manager in annual budgeting, periodic re-forecasting and scenario modelling to ensure alignment with local strategic objectives.
- Construct and update budget templates, simulate inventory equations, margins and depreciation by product across multiple scenarios.
- Prepare and report budgeted P&L and cash flow in local and original currencies, ensuring data accuracy and completeness throughout budget cycles.
- Report monthly sales re-estimates into the financial system and allocate annual budgets to departments.
- Partner with accounting to validate closing data and submit closing reports with insightful analysis for each reporting phase.
- Review monthly inventory depreciation calculations and analyse aging inventory trends to identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Perform detailed variance analysis of actuals versus budget/reforecast, proactively identifying drivers, risks and mitigation opportunities.
- Provide financial input to Merchandising during the buying process and maintain/enhance reporting tools and templates.
- Manage expense-system user administration and deliver ad‑hoc analyses requested by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- 4–6 years of hands-on FP&A experience; experience in retail, luxury goods or merchandising finance preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; demonstrated accuracy and strong analytical rigour.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; able to present financial insight to non-finance stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Cognos, SAP, Magnitude and TM1 considered an asset.
- Fluent in English.

Minimum 4–6 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and monthly reporting; prior exposure to retail or merchandising finance is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
