Hermès seeks a Facility & Construction Supervisor in Milan to oversee retail projects and facility management across Italy and Greece.
Role & Responsibilities
- Draft comprehensive store briefs and project plans from groundbreaking to store opening, managing timelines and schedules
- Maintain budget accountability for all projects; monitor construction costs, review invoices, manage change orders, and minimize overspending
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors; conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with design standards
- Liaise with the safety consultant to enforce Health & Safety regulations and ensure a safe work environment
- Cooperate with the EME Hermès Construction Team and RDAI on store concepts; review store layouts and project milestones with retail leadership
- Coordinate fixtures, signages, and merchandising installations to ensure stores are ready for sales operations
- Work in alignment with operations, HR, and IT departments to ensure adequate stock allocation, staff area optimization, and proper informatic systems integration
- Design and implement facility management strategy; set and monitor yearly goals and expectations; develop a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Supervise and provide accountability for the Facility Coordinator/Specialist's activities; manage extraordinary interventions with strict budget and timeline adherence
- Plan yearly activities, set expectations, and assign tasks to facility team members; provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support for professional development
Qualifications
- Proven experience in luxury retail project management, minimum 6 years
- University degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Construction (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Extensive internal team coordination experience
- Excellent understanding of design drawings and project documentation
- Knowledge of standard quality means, methods, and materials in construction and millwork for luxury environments
- Overall cost and market value knowledge for various retail construction activities
- Strong stakeholder management; ability to influence without authority and collaborate across functions
- Rigorous, organized, detail and deadline-oriented with pragmatic problem-solving skills
Skills
Experience
Minimum 6 years of proven experience in luxury retail project management, with demonstrated expertise in store construction, renovation projects, and facility management within high-end retail environments.
Education
University degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Construction preferred; professional qualifications in project management or facility management also valued.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 46,000 per annum.
