Role & Responsibilities
- Pilot fabric studio purchasing activities aligned with collection timelines and budget forecasts
- Evaluate and continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs whilst maintaining quality standards
- Manage and evolve the product lifecycle management (PLM) system to optimize fabric development and sourcing workflows
- Supervise contract negotiations and purchasing terms to secure optimal value whilst ensuring alignment with company policies
- Guarantee adherence to supply schedules and resolve delivery or material stock anomalies in coordination with collection retroplanning objectives
- Collaborate with materials development and quality teams to ensure regulatory compliance and material conformity for collection use
- Oversee the collection procurement workflow and ensure the supply chain meets the Maison's standards and expectations
- Maintain precise and rigorous information flow with internal stakeholders across purchasing, production, and quality departments
- Lead and mentor two purchasing team members, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment aligned with Hermès values
- Coach and develop team members to drive professional growth and engagement
- Organize team activities: construct and monitor retroplannings, animate key annual meetings, and ensure deadline and objective attainment
- Manage departmental operating budgets
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the textile industry, with demonstrated expertise in purchasing and ready-to-wear collection development
- In-depth knowledge of the supplier landscape and industrial capabilities
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Clear understanding of product development and commercialization processes
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; Italian is advantageous
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational competencies
- Proven capacity to operate effectively within a fast-paced environment
