Role & Responsibilities
- Lead physico-mechanical and regulatory conformity checks of exotic leathers from tanneries and suppliers; manage incoming inspection at partner tanneries in France and Italy.
- Animate risk analyses and coordinate supplier corrective action plans; measure and report supplier reception performance and monthly quality indicators.
- Support manufacturers on cutting and production processes to secure material quality, consumption targets and resolve supplier-reported anomalies through root-cause analysis.
- Define theoretical placements respecting quality/consumption constraints and capture production best practices for diffusion across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of the 'Exotic Leathers Quality' process: automate repetitive sequences, maintain KPIs and dashboards, capitalise on test results (Elementum), and update the Quality Manual.
Qualifications
- Degree in leather technology, materials science or equivalent professional experience in leather processing.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in leather development or quality control, ideally with exotic leathers.
- Proven capability in supplier quality management, root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Strong analytical, observational and synthesis abilities with excellent organisational skills.
- Availability for frequent travel (≈2 days/week) to partner tanneries and ateliers in France and Italy.
Skills
Experience
3–5 years minimum in leather development or quality-control functions, with hands-on exposure to exotic skins preferred. Experience interfacing with tanneries and outsourced manufacturers is expected.
Education
Degree in leather technology, materials science, chemical/processing engineering or equivalent vocational qualification; equivalent professional experience accepted.

The successful candidate will be located in Pantin, Île-de-France, France, with easy access to Paris.
