Hermès Pantin: Environmental Data Manager role leading ESG governance, LCA, and climate strategy across luxury craftsmanship métiers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct and develop a team responsible for environmental impact projects and environmental transition initiatives, defining strategic roadmaps, individual objectives, and fostering skill development
- Establish a common methodological framework linking upstream agricultural and industrial data, product modeling through lifecycle assessment, internal acculturation, and institutional ESG requirements
- Ensure compliance and auditability of ESG reports and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, working with group entities to define and monitor decarbonization plans and assess physical and transition climate risks
- Oversee LCA modeling and eco-design methodology deployment across product development teams; coordinate impact analyses, deliver evidence-based recommendations at innovation governance committees, and lead internal training and acculturation programs
- Define ESG data governance in collaboration with project and process leads; contribute to environmental information systems (IS) selection, implementation, and optimization to ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and traceability over time and for internal and external audits
- Maintain technical regulatory vigilance internally and contribute to interprofessional and scientific working groups; synthesize and regularly share regulatory developments with métiers, legal, and DITI compliance teams
- Serve as interface between group Sustainability Direction, DSIM, and métiers, ensuring documented data collection and consolidation to meet institutional standards
Qualifications
- Bac+5 qualification: Engineering degree or Master's degree in scientific discipline, environment, or sustainable development
- Proven experience in environmental data management, including lifecycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprinting, CSRD, and climate strategy
- Minimum 3–5 years of demonstrated management experience
- Strong management capabilities and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact across disciplines and adapt to changing environments
- Aptitude for establishing clear frameworks, work methodologies, structured deliverable templates, and transparent prioritization
- Strong pedagogical skills and commitment to information quality across diverse stakeholder groups
- Capacity to lead cross-functional projects with strong initiative, complexity management, and analytical thinking
- Demonstrated synthesis, analysis, rigor, precision, and autonomy
Skills
Experience
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in environmental data, sustainability, or ESG domains, with at least 3–5 years in a management or leadership capacity. Demonstrated expertise in lifecycle assessment, carbon accounting, and regulatory compliance frameworks such as CSRD or environmental labeling requirements. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive operational transformation across manufacturing, supply chain, and product development functions.
Education
Bac+5: Engineering degree or Master's degree in environmental science, sustainable development, or related scientific discipline.
