Hermès seeks an Employee Engagement Intern for its Talent Development team in New York City, supporting internal communications, employee events and recognition programmes. This in-person internship runs January 11 to June 28, 2027, as part of the five-month Generation H programme; it may be full-time at 37.5 hours per week or part-time at more than 15 and fewer than 35 hours per week, and pays $20 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Write internal announcements and narrative editorials for the global employee intranet and digital signage, informing and celebrating Corporate, Retail and Service Center teams.
  • Maintain the local intranet site and app by publishing new content, updating existing content, removing outdated content, and coordinating page updates with department publishers.
  • Contribute to the ideation, planning and execution of internal employee events, including invitations, catering, décor sourcing, event setup and breakdown.
  • Assist with the management and execution of internal recognition programmes, including the annual programme, anniversary programme and digital appreciation board.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree, in junior or senior year, and enrolled in classes for the duration of the internship.
  • Interested in a career in human resources, internal communications or special events.
  • Values diverse perspectives and cultures and actively seeks to understand and empower them.
  • Creative, with strong written communication skills.
  • Teachable and a collaborative team player.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills.
  • Technologically competent and proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
