Six-month paid internship based in Pantin, France, beginning March 2027. The successful candidate will support the CSR Projects Manager within Hermès Leather Goods and Saddlery division, contributing to eco-design initiatives that enhance product durability, develop sustainable collections, and build organizational capability in sustainable design practices.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the evaluation and monitoring of repair capabilities for upcoming product collections
- Track environmental performance indicators for in-collection products
- Participate in designing a sustainable product line incorporating dormant stock utilization and optimized material consumption
- Assist in driving a project to revalue production surplus inventory
- Create and update technical specifications within the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) information system
- Collaborate on raising awareness and training internal teams on eco-design principles and practices
- Contribute to the development of internal guides and reference materials on sustainable design
- Represent and communicate the eco-design initiative to external partners
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in progress
- Genuine interest in CSR and sustainable development issues
- Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Strong curiosity, dynamism, and collaborative mindset
- Ability to build quality relationships with diverse stakeholders
Skills
Experience
Beginners accepted; no prior professional experience required. Relevant academic experience in sustainable design, materials science, or environmental management is a plus.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently completed an engineering degree program or equivalent qualification.
