Hermès Paris seeks a Documentation Assistant intern to build and manage archival databases for the Hermès Foundation's communications portfolio.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct needs assessment and usage studies to identify document sources and requirements; prepare synthesis documentation
- Centralise and aggregate communications materials including photographs, films, and digital communication tools
- Import, describe, index, and manage rights metadata for documents within the archival database
- Establish and structure collection organisation systems
- Define user access protocols and configure user profiles and permissions
- Prepare user guides and operational documentation for database management
Qualifications
- Student in Information Science, Documentation, Archives, or Digital Humanities
- Knowledge of or concurrent study in Communication or Cultural Management
- First experience in a corporate environment or cultural institution
- Demonstrated interest in communications strategy within cultural and corporate social responsibility sectors
