Hermès Paris seeks a Documentation Assistant intern to build and manage archival databases for the Hermès Foundation's communications portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessment and usage studies to identify document sources and requirements; prepare synthesis documentation
  • Centralise and aggregate communications materials including photographs, films, and digital communication tools
  • Import, describe, index, and manage rights metadata for documents within the archival database
  • Establish and structure collection organisation systems
  • Define user access protocols and configure user profiles and permissions
  • Prepare user guides and operational documentation for database management

Qualifications

  • Student in Information Science, Documentation, Archives, or Digital Humanities
  • Knowledge of or concurrent study in Communication or Cultural Management
