Hermès International seeks a Documentation Assistant (Apprenticeship) in Paris to enrich press archives and index international articles for the Archives & Documentation team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Enrich and maintain the press publications database by ingesting international press articles into the department’s content management tool and applying accurate indexing.
- Create and apply consistent metadata and controlled descriptive entries to ensure discoverability and data quality within archival systems.
- Support the Archives and Documentation team in collecting, centralising and organising visuals and communication materials produced by the Métiers and Communications direction.
- Contribute to departmental projects and operational tasks according to service priorities and the apprentice’s interests.
- Perform quality-control checks on records and assist with research or retrieval requests from internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a recognised program in Information Science/Documentation, Archives, Digital Humanities, or Art History with a focus on Decorative Arts.
- Prior first experience or internship in a documentation, archive or library environment is desirable; beginners accepted.
- Highly organised, rigorous and service-oriented with an acute attention to detail.
- Strong cultural knowledge and sensitivity to decorative arts and premium/high‑end products.

Education
Current enrolment in a diploma or degree program in Information/Documentation, Archives, Digital Humanities, or Art History (decorative arts specialisation preferred).
