Hermès seeks a Documentation & Curation Assistant for International Display Windows, Paris. Six-month internship in Creative Communications, September 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and organize photographs of completed window displays from all group subsidiaries immediately upon installation
  • Categorize, sort, and file display photography into project folders, annual retrospectives, website assets, and strategic direction materials
  • Maintain and update visual guidelines and best-practice documentation with photographic examples
  • Conduct research and market intelligence to identify emerging artistic talent suitable for the display artist roster
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of artist presentations and profiles, ensuring accurate classification and accessibility
  • Assist the Seasonal Vitrines Project Manager with meeting coordination, minute-taking, follow-ups with subsidiaries, and timeline management
  • Support architectural project tracking for new store openings and related display planning
  • Contribute to the conception and delivery of the annual International Vitrines Seminar and associated content materials
  • Document meeting minutes and prepare project status reports as required
  • Maintain and update artist scheduling calendars
  • Provide project support on specialized initiatives as directed

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in the visual arts, fine arts, museum studies, or related creative discipline
  • Prior experience in archival management, curation, or documentation preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary art and the international art market
  • Strong project management competencies: flexibility, responsiveness, organizational rigor, methodical approach, versatility, practical problem-solving, synthesizing ability, and deadline management
  • Sensitivity to artistic and cultural developments with capacity for constructive creative input
  • Strong collaborative skills: collective mindset, active listening, capacity to motivate and coordinate diverse stakeholders
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Creative Suite and/or InDesign skills advantageous
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Strong French language proficiency (written and spoken)
