Hermès seeks a Director of Management Control in Angoulême, France—lead finance strategy and operations for a luxury leather goods manufacturing hub with 1,000+ employees.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead 360° performance management including budget cycles, reforecasts, and medium-term planning; consolidate P&L and production capacity data across regional sites
- Coordinate quarterly financial closings with central teams; analyze and report variances against budget with corrective action tracking
- Monitor industrial performance metrics including delivery rates, productivity ratios, workforce analytics, and lead monthly performance reviews
- Oversee capital expenditure planning, approval, and realization tracking for the regional hub
- Manage cost control across all sites to maintain budget discipline and cost optimization
- Prepare labor-related control calculations supporting compensation reviews and profit-sharing agreements; present results to Works Council
- Pilot indirect procurement activities and manage select purchasing portfolios including facilities, catering, and maintenance services
- Serve as internal control officer for the region, supervising inventory management and annual self-assessment questionnaires
- Manage and develop a team of three industrial controllers, setting objectives aligned with regional strategy and individual professional development
- Support cross-functional transformation projects and information systems evolution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Bac+5 level) in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of management control experience
- Prior experience in audit, internal control, or industrial manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated capability in strategic planning and organizational change management
- Proven track record as an experienced manager with strong team development orientation
- Strong stakeholder management across multiple organizational levels
