Hermès Manufacture de Métaux in Roye, France seeks a Development & Industrialization Manager to lead product industrialization from prototype to series.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and secure all development and industrialization projects for the Roye pole from product development through market launch, ensuring commitments on quality, cost and timing are met.
- Translate client briefs into robust technical and commercial data; define industrial roadmaps and ensure reliable transition from prototyping to series production.
- Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams (Design Office, Project Managers, Industrialization Methods), set priorities, and foster a culture of accountability and service orientation.
- Coordinate closely with Group Development (Val de Fontenay), Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Production to maintain a single, coherent planning and project voice.
- Identify, assess and mitigate technical, industrial, quality and scheduling risks; escalate and mobilize Group resources when local capacities are exceeded.
- Define and validate industrial processes, production routings and tooling requirements; organise project kick‑offs and milestone reviews and ensure delivery of required client and internal deliverables.
- Secure ramp‑up and pre‑series activities, supervise handover to production, provide technical support to Production and Quality teams, and report progress against QCD and HSE indicators.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5 / engineering school) in mechanical engineering or equivalent with a specialization in industrialization.
- Proven track record (8–10 years) in industrial development, industrialization or methods within high‑precision sectors (luxury, fine metallurgy, watchmaking, jewelry, precision mechanics).
- Demonstrated experience managing technical teams in a matrix, multi‑site environment.
- Strong technical credibility in mechanical design and manufacturing processes, with a pragmatic leadership style and high sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication, coordination and decision‑making skills; capacity to prioritise, arbitrate and handle complex issues with maturity.
- Client service mindset combined with a collaborative, group‑oriented approach.

Experience
8–10 years in industrial development or industrialization within demanding, high‑precision industries; proven experience of team management and operation in a matrixed, multisite organisation.
Education
Master's degree (engineering school or equivalent) with specialization in mechanical engineering / industrialization (Bac+5).
