Hermès 6-month development internship in Pantin, France – support jewelry product industrialisation, technical qualification, and manufacturing processes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support product and process industrialisation through technical file development, database completion, and data migration with new attribute integration
- Verify and validate technical documentation, including dimensional chain verification and alignment with quality specifications
- Assist in establishing physical component flow and storage systems mirrored against technical documentation
- Support weekly Technical Committee meetings with project managers, including agenda preparation and synthesis documentation
- Develop and deploy Hermès Jewelry standards for workshop implementation and data standardisation
- Define equipment requirements and support integration of new measurement and testing equipment with documentation of best practices
- Conduct technical characterisation of surface treatments, wear, and adhesion using internal metrology laboratory equipment
- Perform dimensional measurement surveys and participate in qualification table development adapted to Hermès products
- Audit historical technical files and classify them according to maturity levels and product requirements
- Participate in construction standards development and support engineering bureau activities
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent university-level qualification with demonstrated aptitude for mechanics
- Solid knowledge of mechanics and industrial processes (CNC, foundry work, bending, electroplating)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with critical thinking
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, evolving, and challenging environments
Skills
Experience
Recent graduate or final-year student with pronounced interest in jewelry, horology, and mechanical systems. Prior experience in jewelry manufacturing, product development, or technical environments is preferred but not required.
Education
Engineering degree or university-level qualification in mechanical engineering, materials science, or related technical discipline.
