Hermès seeks a design intern for its Paris menswear studio; six-month full-time internship supporting Outerwear stylists in collection development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create flat sketches by hand and in Adobe Illustrator
  • Develop photomontage simulations using Adobe Photoshop
  • Complete technical specification sheets including measurements, detail sketches, and construction notes
  • Produce mockups and prototypes of design details with strong proportional accuracy
  • Source reference imagery and thematic inspiration; compile mood boards aligned with seasonal collections
  • Ideate design concepts and detail variations in line with collection aesthetic and heritage
  • Explore color-blocking and contrasting detail colorway combinations
  • Participate in post-production fittings and collection debrief sessions
  • Support administrative studio operations including prototype logistics, material storage, and test filing
  • Assist with press show preparation and coordination

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a fashion or design school program
  • Passionate interest in menswear design and luxury fashion heritage
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong sense of proportion and technical drawing ability
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Discretion, service mindset, and strong collaborative approach
  • English language proficiency preferred
