Hermès seeks Data Engineering Manager for Analytics & AI team in Pantin. Lead technical excellence, drive industrialization of data and AI solutions, manage expert teams, and accelerate digital transformation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a cross-functional team of technical experts including Lead Data/BI Technologists and AI Ops/MLOps specialists
- Guide Analytics and AI squads in the adoption of technical best practices and frameworks
- Conduct technical audits and identify opportunities for improvement in quality, performance, and scalability across the domain
- Design and deploy standards, frameworks, and tools that facilitate efficient team delivery
- Foster a culture of technical excellence through mentoring, training, and continuous squad support
- Optimize time-to-market for Analytics and AI products through process improvement
- Define and enforce development standards across Snowflake, Power BI, and AI environments
- Implement and operationalize DataOps and MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, reproducibility, versioning, and model drift detection
- Lead technical transformation from legacy BI environments toward balanced BI/AI operating models
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and platform teams to translate requirements into technical and infrastructure specifications
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the domain including velocity, quality, standards adoption, and cloud cost optimization
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Data, Analytics, or AI environments
- Proven track record in technical leadership or Data/AI architecture roles
- Demonstrated experience shepherding Data Science and AI projects through industrialization phases
- Successful management of technical expert profiles with ability to align teams around shared vision
- Comfort navigating matrix organizational structures and influencing across functional boundaries
- Expert proficiency in Snowflake and Power BI
- Strong operational knowledge of DataOps, MLOps, and CI/CD practices
- Solid understanding of modern data architectures and AI industrialization tooling
- Sensitivity to FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies
