Hermès is hiring a Data and AI Lead to structure and govern Retail data and develop AI initiatives, from use-case identification through deployment. Working with business teams, architects and the Data Office, the role supports reliable data practices and practical AI applications. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Map strategic Retail data, including customer, inventory and sales-price data, their systems of record, and data flows between applications.
- Build and maintain clear, durable documentation of the Data landscape to support understanding of systems and their evolution.
- Strengthen data governance with the Data Office, business teams and architects, contributing to the harmonisation of reference data and practices.
- Ensure data quality, compliance and controlled sharing, including publication on the group’s Data platforms in accordance with GDPR and PIPL.
- Identify and qualify opportunities to apply artificial intelligence across Retail activities and IT processes.
- Build and lead the domain’s AI roadmap, prioritising initiatives by business value, feasibility and alignment with group strategy.
- Scope and manage AI projects from requirements gathering through deployment, coordinating with business teams, the Data Office and technical partners.
- Contribute to practical AI use cases, including AI assistants for store teams, automation of selected IT activities and tools supporting client relationships.
- Support adoption of new solutions and promote knowledge-sharing and best practices across teams.
Qualifications
- Confirmed experience in data governance and managing Data and AI projects.
- Understanding of application architectures.
- Command of generative AI concepts, including LLM, RAG and GenAI.
- Retail knowledge is an asset.
- Ability to work in an international environment.
- Fluent English.
- Autonomy, pragmatism and the ability to deliver projects.
