Hermès seeks Data & AI Governance Manager to lead enterprise governance frameworks, oversee data quality and compliance, and drive AI governance at Pantin, France headquarters.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the data and AI governance framework, establishing policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities to ensure coherent governance at enterprise scale
- Animate governance bodies and committees, support the network of data managers, owners, and stewards, and foster adoption of data best practices across business units
- Pilot governance services and tools, define maturity indicators, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support major transformation programs by ensuring data quality, model consistency, master data governance, and identification of data-related risks
- Establish and oversee AI use case governance frameworks, qualify AI initiatives, chair governance forums, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Build and pilot the data and AI governance roadmap, track key performance indicators, contribute to overall data strategy, and manage associated budgets
- Lead the Data & AI Governance team, develop service offerings, ensure quality of deliverables, and support competency development
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data governance frameworks and enterprise transformation programs
- Deep expertise in data governance principles: data quality, data lineage, data catalogs, Master Data Management, and reference data governance
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly GDPR and the AI Act
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into operational roadmaps
- Proven influencing capability across organizational hierarchies without direct authority
- Capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to non-specialist stakeholders
- Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational capabilities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data governance and enterprise transformation, with proven success structuring governance initiatives, federating cross-functional stakeholders, and driving organizational maturity in data management within complex environments.
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent professional certification in data governance, compliance, or enterprise architecture may substitute.
