Hermès seeks a Data Analyst (VIE) in New York to lead data transformation and Power BI reporting during cloud migration.
Role & Responsibilities
- Establish the diagnostic of the existing US data environment and produce comprehensive data profiling reports highlighting anomalies and risk zones
- Compare source data from legacy platforms against new Snowflake data models and formalize gap analyses with actionable reconciliation rules
- Monitor data quality indicators throughout the migration process and maintain continuous visibility on data reliability
- Deliver operational reporting and Power BI dashboards post-migration, translating data into decision-ready insights for US business teams
- Develop Power BI dashboards on the semantic layer of the new Data Platform, adhering to Hermès certification standards
- Act as a local relay for data analysis standards, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring adoption and compliance within the US team
- Collaborate closely with the paired Analyst Engineer VIE and Paris Analytics & AI teams to ensure deliverable consistency
- Systematically document analyses, assumptions, conclusions, and implicit business rules in team reference tools
- Participate in business qualification workshops to validate business rules and data definitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Bac+4) or Master's degree (Bac+5) in data science, statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, or business school with data specialization
- Prior experience (internship, apprenticeship, or junior role) in data analysis or BI in a structured environment
- Advanced SQL proficiency
- Power BI expertise
- Demonstrated ability to perform data profiling and interpret data quality indicators
- Fluent English (written and spoken) at professional level; French is a valuable asset
- Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouse knowledge is a plus
- Python or R for exploratory analysis is valued
Skills
Experience
Beginners accepted; first professional experience in data analysis or BI in a structured environment required. Prior work with data migration, legacy system assessment, or analytics initiatives preferred.
Education
