Hermes Korea seeks a Customs Compliance, Inventory & Pricing Assistant Manager in Seoul to manage customs clearance, inventory and pricing compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end customs clearance for imports and exports, coordinating daily with forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and 3PL partners to ensure timely declarations and releases.
- Ensure compliance with customs and product regulations (including CITES, wildlife, plant and electrical/chemical safety acts) and execute regular customs audits.
- Prepare and amend customs and shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, export licences, Carnets) and manage non‑commercial/event shipments and returns.
- Monitor and reconcile monthly customs duties and related expenses with brokers for accurate month‑end closing and submission to finance; identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
- Oversee inventory data flows between ERP/WMS systems and 3PLs; manage stock adjustments, store stock administration and verification of manual stock movements.
- Calculate and key in retail prices and purchase costs incorporating landed costs, duties and logistics expenses; support reporting and analysis of customs duties and logistics costs.
- Coordinate local compliance activities: sample testing programs, label management, research on new regulatory requirements (electrical, chemical, packaging, children’s goods).
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' professional experience in customs clearance and inventory management within multinational organisations, ideally in retail or fashion apparel.
- Proven experience participating in or conducting customs audits.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with 3PLs, forwarders, internal teams and headquarters.
- Highly detail‑oriented, proactive and capable of working autonomously while maintaining a service‑oriented mindset.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in customs clearance and inventory management at multinational companies, preferably in retail or fashion apparel; demonstrable exposure to customs audits and cross‑functional stakeholder management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
