Hermès Benelux Nordics seeks a Controlling Manager (maternity cover) in Brussels (Aug 2026–Jan 2027) to lead regional financial close, budgeting and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead monthly financial close for the region: ensure compliance with Group accounting standards, produce P&L, CAPEX and balance sheet analyses and deliver reporting to Group finance.
- Analyse key operational drivers (inventory, margin, overheads and other operating items), explain variances versus forecasts and present results to the local executive committee.
- Coordinate and produce budgeting, reforecasting and three‑year planning cycles: plan timelines, prepare data, build planning templates and ensure consolidation for Group reporting.
- Develop and maintain management reporting and performance dashboards by store, department and project to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Act as finance Business Partner to the management committee and budget owners: identify risks and opportunities, propose corrective actions and support the development of business plans for projects.
- Design and deploy tools and processes to improve budget construction, monitoring and month‑end closing efficiency.
- Line‑manage a junior controller, providing coaching, task allocation and performance follow‑up.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in management accounting / controlling within an international environment, preferably retail or consumer goods.
- Proven first‑line managerial experience.
- Fluent written and spoken French and English; Dutch or a Scandinavian language is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands‑on experience with SAP, Magnitude and Cognos.

Experience
At least 7 years in controlling/management accounting in an international context, with prior responsibility for financial close, reporting and a first managerial role; retail experience strongly preferred.
Education
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or an equivalent field.
