Hermès seeks a dynamic supply chain professional to support continuous improvement initiatives within the Precious Leather Central Stock division of Hermès Leather Goods and Saddlery. This six-month full-time internship, commencing March 2026, focuses on optimizing exotic leather inventory management and driving operational excellence through project leadership and data transformation. The intern will report to the Logistics Coordinator and collaborate with production, support functions, and the Collections and Commercial Development teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Strategically monitor and actively animate unused leather inventory, serving as a key stakeholder in continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional working meetings to drive operational optimization
- Establish and implement performance indicators aligned with supply chain objectives
- Conduct comprehensive audit of all source data files and inventory management systems
- Ensure seamless data transition and quality across reporting tools
- Initiate and support continuous improvement projects to enhance inventory processes
Qualifications
- Engineering school graduate or final-year engineering student
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with supply chain acumen
- Demonstrated curiosity and appetite for continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent relational skills and practical field orientation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- VBA programming for basic automation (preferred)
- Organized approach to prioritization with meticulous attention to detail
