Hermès Footwear seeks Components Buyer in Pantin to manage supplier relationships, pricing strategy, and procurement optimization for luxury shoe manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate supplier portfolio performance across economic viability, technical capacity, and craftsmanship competencies
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop medium and long-term sourcing strategy based on market analysis and business requirements
- Conduct 360-degree supplier performance assessments in coordination with industrialization, supply chain, quality, and development departments
- Participate in product allocation decisions for suppliers, ensuring alignment with defined purchasing strategy
- Collect sourcing requirements from development and industrialization teams and request competitive pricing for each collection phase
- Analyze supplier proposals for technical coherence and alignment with margin targets; conduct market intelligence to ensure optimal positioning
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and manage price updates across production phases
- Maintain data accuracy in procurement systems and ensure timely transmission to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvements and continuous advancement of purchasing practices within the Footwear Division
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or business school diploma with procurement specialization
- Minimum 6 years of procurement experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing environments
- Rigorous attention to detail, highly organized with strong numerical aptitude
- Advanced analytical and synthesis capabilities
- Expert proficiency with Excel, dashboards, and procurement data management tools
- Sensitivity to and understanding of manufacturing environments, organizational structures, and industrial culture
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong listening ability
- Capable of working independently with strong initiative-taking capability
- Italian language proficiency is advantageous
Skills
Experience
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in procurement functions, preferably within industrial manufacturing or artisanal production environments. Prior experience in managing complex supplier relationships and multi-phase collection purchasing cycles is highly valued.
Education
Engineering degree or business school diploma (École de Commerce), with specialization or significant coursework in procurement, supply chain management, or related discipline.
