Hermès Middle East seeks Compensation and Payroll Manager for Dubai. Oversee payroll and benefits across UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage monthly payroll processing, compliance verification, and external payroll provider oversight for all employees across UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain
- Advise HR leadership and business partners on compensation decisions for recruitment, promotions, and mobility based on internal and external market benchmarks
- Conduct compensation studies and participate in external market surveys to maintain competitive positioning
- Develop and manage benefit schemes across the region including insurance, company vehicles, and share programs aligned with Group guidelines
- Coordinate annual salary review process, ensure HRIS data accuracy, and prepare consolidated salary review files within budgetary parameters
- Ensure accurate monthly payslips clearly communicating all compensation elements to all employees
- Support commission scheme definition and execute monthly commission calculations in partnership with retail leadership
- Monitor headcount, maintain social data accuracy, and deliver high-quality HR reporting aligned with Group standards
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliations, cost provisioning, and budget tracking
- Handle external agency inquiries including tax and social security authority communications
- Conduct regular improvements to payroll processes and ensure compliance with regional labour law changes
- Participate in Group-level compensation and benefits community initiatives and lead local rollout of Group-wide projects
- Partner on payroll and leave management automation system implementation throughout 2026-2027
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources or related field
- Proven experience managing payroll in the Middle East region
- Expert-level proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience with external benchmarking exercises, job classification, and compensation and benefits project management
- Strong knowledge of local employment laws, regulations, and best practices across UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Experience
Proven experience in managing payroll operations in the Middle East region with knowledge of local employment regulations across multiple countries. Demonstrated background in compensation and benefits project management, external benchmarking exercises, and job classification. Experience collaborating across HR, Finance, and operational functions to deliver integrated compensation and payroll solutions.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources, business administration, or related field is beneficial.
