Hermès seeks an experienced Commerce Systems Architect in Manhattan to lead SAP S/4 HANA implementation across the Americas, managing enterprise systems integration and retail technology transformation. $130K–$140K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the SAP S/4 HANA implementation project for Hermès Americas and all pre-induction initiatives
- Act as the integration gatekeeper for all Commerce Systems, ensuring seamless connectivity between Logistics, Omnichannel, and Data Lake repositories
- Balance strategic enterprise architecture vision with hands-on technical guidance and execution
- Oversee system configurations, development activities, testing protocols, process enhancements, and business rule implementations
- Analyze technical issues proactively, resolve independently within agreed guidelines, and escalate to appropriate stakeholders when necessary
- Lead data migration projects, ensuring robust migration strategies, data integrity validation, and performance optimization
- Plan, coordinate, and support system updates and maintenance windows to minimize business disruption
- Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing scenarios to validate system functionality and business requirements
- Conduct comprehensive meetings with business leaders to analyze current workflows, identify functional gaps, and map technical requirements
- Serve as the Hermès Americas SAP subject matter expert, representing regional business interests throughout the multi-continent deployment
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders in Paris, New York, and across business units
- Facilitate seamless communication between distributed teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of comprehensive IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years in retail IT environments
- Demonstrated expertise with SAP S/4 HANA or comparable enterprise retail ERP systems
- Proficiency with retail systems, including Cegid POS, Magento, and mobile commerce platforms
- Knowledge of Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System (WMS) architecture and implementation
- Strong project management capabilities and experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent Master's degree preferred
- Ability to work regularly on-site at a company-designated work location (hybrid model)

Experience
7–10 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the retail IT sector. Proven track record of leading enterprise system implementations, managing complex integrations, and driving technology transformation initiatives in fast-paced, matrix-driven organizations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is preferred.
