Hermès — SIEGL in Le Grand-Lemps, France seeks a Colorist / Textile Graphic Designer. Full‑time, mid‑level role in print colour development with weekly travel to Pierre‑Bénite.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop multiple colorways from artistic and technical briefs, using strong aesthetic judgement and an understanding of seasonal palettes.
  • Produce counter‑typings (reprises) of sample color cards and historical colorways and iterate proposals with the colour referent throughout the season.
  • Estimate development times and manage project timelines in coordination with the colour manager; launch and follow printing samples through to validation.
  • Collaborate closely with printers and quality control to optimise print quality and colour rendering until sample and production piece approval; provide reference recipes to printers.
  • Research and define colour recipes for table printing and inkjet processes per season, validate mats during industrialisation and be autonomously responsible for technical product set‑up.
  • Archive working sheets and samples to ensure traceability of collections and regularly report progress to the colouring manager.
  • Travel weekly to the Pierre‑Bénite site for cross‑site coordination and sample follow‑up.

Qualifications

  • Bac +2 in Applied Arts (textile printing/styling) or diploma from an art school (drawing/infographics), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum three years’ professional experience in textile infographics/colour development (requisition specifies at least 3 years).
  • Proven experience with print sample development and production follow‑up across table printing and inkjet technologies.
