Hermès Cuirs Précieux, Annonay – Colorist (Full-time). Develop and execute premium leather colorations for luxury footwear and leather goods.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop color formulations and mix specifications in accordance with client requirements and technical standards
- Oversee color process execution on production lines, ensuring color uniformity and consistent application quality
- Conduct light cabin inspections using standardized lighting equipment and make color adjustments as needed
- Perform spectrophotometric color measurements and record results on production tracking documents
- Prepare color mixes and load them into production machinery
- Configure and calibrate dyeing equipment for optimal performance
- Execute level-one equipment maintenance procedures
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with application operators to maintain production continuity
- Maintain strict compliance with hygiene, safety, environmental, and workplace conduct standards
- Demonstrate adherence to company values and internal regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum Bac+2 qualification (equivalent to higher education diploma)
- Confirmed professional experience of at least 5 years in color application within industrial manufacturing
- Sound understanding of leather manufacturing processes from river to tannage through finishing
- Excellent color perception and visual acuity
- Knowledge of foundational chemistry (acids/bases, acrylic resins, polyurethanes, pigments, and dyes)
- Proficiency in office suite applications (Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with production management software (Qubes, Gestprod)
- Strong commitment to quality, precision, and safety standards

Experience
Confirmed professional experience of at least 5 years working in color application and formulation within industrial manufacturing, with demonstrated expertise in leather processing or related artisanal/technical production environments.
Education
Minimum Bac+2 (higher education diploma or equivalent qualification in chemistry, materials science, or industrial production).
