Ateliers AS, a Hermès textile-printing workshop, is recruiting a Color Preparation Machine Operator to prepare and mix colors, control production quality, manage materials and maintain equipment. This permanent, full-time role is 39 hours per week on alternating 2×8 shifts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare master colors and color compounds to specification, following established procedures, including use of a spectrocolorimeter.
- Carry out color mixing on the automated color kitchen, following procedures for color sequence, metrage, weighing variances, alerts and the established schedule; report anomalies to the manager.
- Carry out manual color mixing according to the required color recipe and procedures.
- Check and optimize production quality for pH, viscosity and color conformity.
- Manage and organize stock, and flag raw materials that need reordering.
- Keep the workstation and equipment clean and organized.
- Perform first-level maintenance on equipment.
- Follow company operating rules, including internal policies, safety requirements, environmental instructions and Safety Data Sheets.
- Identify safety risks and incidents within the department and report them to the line manager.
- Follow role-specific safety rules and wear personal protective equipment.
Qualifications
- CQP CEI (Conduite d’Équipements Industriels), a technical baccalaureate, or equivalent experience of 2 years in a color-kitchen workshop.
- Team spirit and the ability to work independently.
- Rigor and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of mathematics, including the rule of three, proportions, mental arithmetic and percentages.
- Knowledge of quality procedures, team-based production environments and procedures relating to chemical risks.
- Basic computer skills.

Experience
2 years in a color-kitchen workshop as an equivalent qualification.
Education
CQP CEI (Conduite d’Équipements Industriels), a technical baccalaureate, or equivalent experience of 2 years in a color-kitchen workshop.
