HMM – Fábrica do Fundão (Guarda, Portugal) seeks a CNC Programmer. Full-time, mid-level role requiring Mastercam and SolidWorks experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, program and optimise CNC machining programs using CAM software to meet technical drawings and production targets.
- Prepare machine setups, tune machining parameters and support daily production to ensure part quality and process stability.
- Create and refine CAD/CAM models, fixtures and mould machining processes using SolidWorks and Mastercam.
- Collaborate with metrology and dimensional control teams to guarantee conformity and resolve non-conformances.
- Lead and deliver operator training on setups, best practices and safety procedures to improve line efficiency.
- Drive continuous-improvement initiatives to raise productivity, reduce scrap and implement technical improvements.
- Provide technical input for automation projects, including robotic cells and cobot integration.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma/certificate in machining, mechanical engineering or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in CNC programming and production preparation (3–5 years preferred).
- Proven proficiency in ISO programming; Fanuc experience strongly preferred.
- Practical experience with 5-axis CNC machining and development of clamping/fixture devices is highly valued.
- Knowledge of industrial automation and robotic cells (cobotization) is an advantage.
- Autonomous, rigorous problem-solving skills and strong verbal communication; experience training operators.
- Working knowledge of French preferred.

Education
Technical qualification in machining, mechanical engineering or an equivalent vocational/technical certification.
