Client Host role at Hermès London flagship store; 6-month fixed-term contract. Greet customers, manage appointments, concierge services.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon arrival with a warm, positive first impression and direct them to appropriate sales team members
- Engage with customers on the sales floor and facilitate introductions to relevant specialists
- Manage appointment scheduling and personally welcome pre-booked clients
- Coordinate team break schedules and request additional floor support when needed
- Welcome and reassure customers in the leather department, answer preliminary questions, and manage wait times
- Offer and prepare refreshments (tea, coffee, bespoke beverages) for customers and VIP appointments
- Act as in-store concierge by providing informed recommendations for local hotels, restaurants, exhibitions, and cultural experiences
- Foster relationships with concierge teams at neighbouring luxury hotels
- Ensure service amenities (umbrellas, seating, refreshments) are consistently available and proactively offered
- Contribute to store standards and uphold all house procedures and daily protocols
- Identify areas for service improvement and share feedback with management and team members
- Communicate customer concerns, compliments, and VIP client information to relevant staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a client-facing or customer service role, ideally in luxury retail or hospitality
- Mature, professional demeanor with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Independence and assertiveness in problem-solving and decision-making
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
