Overview

Hermès Distribution France operates the Maison’s retail network on behalf of Hermès Sellier, bringing artisan-made leather goods, ready-to-wear, accessories, watches, jewellery, beauty and home collections to clients through a curated network of stores and an e‑commerce site. The retail division privileges craftsmanship, authenticity and refined hospitality while adapting the Maison’s savoir‑faire to modern, omnichannel luxury retail.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome and receive clients warmly across the entire George V boutique, acting as a ‘Maître de Maison’ to create a high‑end hospitality experience.
  • Guide clients to the appropriate department and liaise with available sales advisors to ensure seamless handover.
  • Offer and serve beverages generously, maintaining beverage stocks and the cleanliness and presentation of hospitality areas.
  • Support omnichannel client journeys (web‑to‑shop, remote selling, shop‑to‑shop) and assist with related administrative follow‑up.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with VIP and regular clients through attentive listening and knowledge of their preferences.
  • Manage guest flow and waiting for high‑volume categories (accessories, shoes, jewellery) and apply the appropriate client protocols.
  • Collect client feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the store.
  • Provide ad hoc support for ancillary client requests and contribute to overall store operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of proven experience in boutique reception, luxury retail or high‑end hospitality.
  • Excellent spoken English (fluent) and polished elocution; additional language skills are an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Dynamic, service‑oriented, rigorous and adaptable with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent high standards of hospitality and to follow VIP protocols.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in luxury retail, boutique reception or high‑end hospitality.

Education

Secondary education (high school diploma) or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality or luxury retail is a plus.
