Hermès Lyon seeks a seasonal Checkout Associate for November 2026–January 2027. Luxury retail cash handling and guest services role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent and embody Hermès' house codes through impeccable appearance, posture, and engagement with international clientele
- Execute cash register opening and closing procedures with rigour and accountability
- Welcome each guest with warmth and availability, processing transactions with fluidity and professionalism
- Guide, advise and direct guests throughout the boutique
- Apply group checkout procedures and manage cash register administration
- Administer payment authorisations and banking procedures as required
- Execute tax-free operations for international customers
- Foster a positive and supportive team atmosphere
- Welcome and mentor new team members
- Demonstrate solidarity and support to colleagues
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate +2 qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar role within retail, hospitality, or luxury sectors
- English language proficiency (essential); additional languages preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and numerical data; accounting knowledge valued
- Excellent presentation and articulation
- Acute sense of service orientation, availability and attention to detail
- Dynamism, enthusiasm and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong team spirit and adaptability
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail, hospitality, luxury boutique environments or similar customer-facing roles; prior cash handling experience preferred.
Education
Baccalaureate +2 qualification or equivalent professional certification in retail or hospitality.
