Hermès seeks a Cashier for its Rome boutique to manage checkout, payment and accounting activities while supporting clients through the final stage of their purchase and contributing to back-office operations. The role is temporary for three months, full-time, under the CCNL Commercio, with an indicative gross annual starting salary of €28,000 and eligibility for an annual incentive plan.
Role & Responsibilities
- Open and close the cash register and verify payments.
- Assist clients during the final stages of purchase and check cash transactions across payment methods and clients.
- Provide customers with information, including after-sales product-care advice.
- Process all in-store sales transactions, record sales and payments, set up and balance the till, manage banking authorizations, and assist international customers with tax-refund procedures.
- Contribute to some or all of the boutique’s daily back-office operations in support of the selling teams.
- Help implement and apply procedures, enter data into the system, and keep IT tools updated.
- Collect and update client data in accordance with privacy policy and company procedures.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service, using storytelling and suggestions to develop client relationships and sales services; participate in morning briefings.
- Take an active role in customer events and activations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, or an equivalent academic background.
- Fluency in Italian and English; a third language is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury goods boutique.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and IT tools.
- Professionalism, enthusiasm, dynamism, ease of integration, and teamwork.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service orientation.
- A team-oriented mindset for building meaningful relationships, together with the ability to work autonomously.

Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury goods boutique; minimum 1 year.
Education

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 28,000 per annum.
