Hermès — Paris (George V): Full-time Cashier role starting Sept 2026. Client-facing checkout, détaxe processing and cash management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a personalised, multilingual welcome and professional checkout experience for an international clientele.
- Operate the point-of-sale: open and close the cash register, process payments, manage authorisations with banking institutions, and perform accurate cash handling.
- Execute administrative cash management tasks and reconcile daily takings according to group procedures.
- Process détaxe (tax-free) operations for eligible foreign customers.
- Advise, guide and orient customers on product selection and service options while escalating complex queries to department specialists.
- Contribute to team life: onboard and assist new colleagues, share knowledge, and support peers in periods of high demand.
Qualifications
- Associate degree (Bac+2) or equivalent vocational qualification and/or proven success in a similar retail cashier or client-facing role.
- Fluent English (verbal) — indispensable for daily interactions with international customers.
- Strong numerical aptitude and basic accounting knowledge; comfortable with cash reconciliations.
- Excellent presentation, clear elocution and polished client-facing manner.
- Availability, rigor, strong service orientation and a collaborative team spirit.

Experience
Proven experience in cash handling or a front-of-house retail role; prior experience within luxury retail is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Associate degree (Bac+2) or equivalent vocational qualification
