Hermès Cashier position in Palm Beach, FL. Full-time retail support role processing transactions and providing exceptional client service. $24–$26/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately record and process all point-of-sale transactions including sales, sends, repairs, and refunds with compliance and accuracy
- Perform cash and payment reconciliation at shift opening and closing, verifying adequate cash flow and transaction balances
- Provide prompt, friendly greeting and high-level service to clients in accordance with Hermès service standards, including assistance with wrapping and packaging
- Process multiple transaction types including returns, exchanges, refunds, and tax refunds according to company policies
- Input transaction and client information into the POS system and prepare invoices accurately
- Support opening and closing procedures with management, including preparation of daily cashier reports
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and courteous manner, directing inquiries appropriately
- Support the sales team by providing cashier service and point-of-sale assistance as required
- Assist with after-sales services administration when needed and partner with management on POS decisions
- Execute ad hoc duties and general store operations as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment
- Strong numerical aptitude and detail-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash with high integrity and meticulous accuracy
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash register operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 0–25 lbs. without assistance
- Capacity to handle difficult situations with grace, composure, and compassion
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of retail experience in a luxury environment is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in operating cash registers or point-of-sale terminals, with prior cash handling experience strongly preferred. A background in customer-facing retail roles with exposure to high-end clientele is advantageous.
