Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately process all point-of-sale transactions at the register, including sales, sends, and repairs, whilst assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Provide exceptional client service in alignment with Hermès standards of service, including prompt greetings, assistance enquiries, and bespoke wrapping and packaging at point of sale
- Support the sales team by providing responsive cashier service and point-of-sale support as required throughout boutique operations
- Process payment transactions such as cash, credit card, and other applicable forms with meticulous compliance and accuracy
- Execute multiple transactional requests including returns, exchanges, refunds, and tax refunds in accordance with company policies and guidelines
- Reconcile daily transactions with cash and other payment method balances, verifying amounts at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure adequate cash flow
- Input transaction and client information into the system and invoices with precision and care
- Prepare daily cashier reports and assist management with point-of-sale administrative decisions
- Answer boutique telephone enquiries in a timely manner and exhibit exemplary customer service
- Support general store operations and ad hoc duties as assigned by management
- Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to positive boutique culture
- Maintain regular in-person presence at the company-designated work location as an essential function of this position
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating a cash register or point-of-sale terminal
- Strong numerical sense with meticulous attention to detail and integrity
- Proven cash handling experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to lift between 0–25 pounds without assistance

Minimum one year of retail experience in a luxury environment is preferred. Strong background in cash handling and point-of-sale operations is essential.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
