Role & Responsibilities

  • Accurately process point‑of‑sale transactions (sales, sends, repairs), including cash, credit card and other payment types, ensuring compliance and precision.
  • Support the sales team and selling‑support functions to deliver Hermès standards of client service, including gift wrapping and final boutique presentation.
  • Handle transactional requests such as returns, exchanges, refunds and tax refunds in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare daily cashier reports; verify cash and balances at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Enter transaction and client information into the CRM and invoicing systems with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, answer phones courteously, and fulfil general store operational and ad hoc duties.
  • Foster teamwork and collaborate closely with boutique colleagues to maintain a high‑quality customer journey.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year retail experience; experience in a luxury environment preferred.
  • Demonstrable cash‑handling experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate a cash register/point‑of‑sale terminal and maintain transaction accuracy.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills; ability to remain composed in difficult situations.
  • Good numerical aptitude, high integrity, and strong organizational skills; capable of multitasking.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

Experience
