Hermès Cashier position in Dubai, UAE. Process transactions, manage till operations, and deliver exceptional client service in luxury retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process all point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining Hermès' exceptional standards of client experience
- Greet customers, answer phones, and direct inquiries to appropriate departments
- Manage daily till operations, including cash handling, verification, and deposits
- Assist in opening and closing store procedures, including cash office management and reconciliation
- Accept cash, cheques, wire transfers, and credit card payments according to established procedures
- Sort, count, and reconcile currency and coins at the beginning and end of each shift
- Train and mentor junior cashiers, setting standards for customer service excellence
- Maintain register and counter areas in neat condition with adequate supplies
- Process documentation and maintain applicable records and reports
- Identify item prices using barcode scanners or product knowledge
- Provide customer service support and assist with stocking and merchandise rotation as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a cashier or similar role, preferably in luxury retail
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and payment processing
- Cash handling expertise and understanding of retail financial procedures
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a cashier or similar front-line retail position, preferably within a luxury retail environment. Experience in managing high-volume transactions, cash reconciliation, and training junior staff is desirable.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or customer service training is advantageous.
