Hermès — Dubai: Cashier role responsible for point‑of‑sale transactions, cash control and exceptional client service at The Dubai Mall.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a seamless, client‑centric checkout experience by greeting clients, answering phones and directing enquiries with discretion and professionalism.
- Accurately execute all point‑of‑sale transactions — cash, cheque, wire transfer and credit card — following established Hermès payment and security procedures.
- Manage opening and closing till procedures, including cash counts, reconciliations, deposit preparation and maintenance of cash office files and reports.
- Operate the register/POS system to enter transactions, issue receipts and provide correct change while meeting throughput targets for smooth checkout flow.
- Maintain register and counter areas in a presentable, stocked condition and ensure necessary supplies are available at all times.
- Complete, process and retain required paperwork and records to ensure auditability and compliance with internal controls.
- Train, coach and direct junior cashiers; set and monitor service standards for the front‑of‑house team.
- Assist the sales team operationally by receiving and delivering goods to clients, supporting stock rotation, pricing and merchandising as needed.
- Act as a customer service representative when required, resolving routine billing enquiries and escalating exceptions appropriately.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years' experience in a cashier or equivalent role, preferably within luxury retail.
- Proven experience with cash handling, till reconciliation and cash office procedures.
- Strong numerical aptitude, accurate data‑entry skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a polished, client‑facing manner.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 3 years in a cashier or front‑of‑house role; prior experience in luxury retail strongly preferred. Demonstrated competence in cash control, POS operation and delivering high standards of client service.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, hospitality or customer service is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be located in Dubai, Dubai, UAE.
