Hermès — Paris (Faubourg St‑Honoré): Contract Cashier (CDD, June–August). Full-time seasonal role handling checkouts, tax‑free sales and client service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, personalised welcome and complete customer checkouts with impeccable service and presentation.
- Operate, open and close the cash register; perform accurate cash handling and administrative cash reconciliation.
- Process payments, manage bank authorisations and follow group cash and POS procedures.
- Perform tax‑free (détaxe) operations for international clientele according to company process.
- Advise and guide customers; escalate enquiries and support sales colleagues to maximise client satisfaction.
- Contribute to team life: support new colleagues, assist peers in difficulty and communicate enthusiasm and brand values.
Qualifications
- Associate degree (Bac +2) or equivalent academic background and/or successful experience in a similar role.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Proven numeracy and basic accounting knowledge; comfortable with figures and cash reconciliation.
- Professional presentation, clear elocution and polished client-facing manner.
- Availability for a fixed-term contract covering June–August; full-time availability during the period.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cashier, checkout or customer-facing retail position; prior experience in luxury retail preferred.
Education
Associate degree (Bac +2) or equivalent
