Hermès Maison seeks a CAD Project Manager on fixed-term contract (6 months) in Pantin to lead design studies and prototyping for luxury furniture and homeware collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model new product developments by exploring material and craftsmanship scenarios aligned with creative intent
- Conduct technical feasibility studies including sketches, calculations, and regulatory compliance assessment from collection briefs and studio requirements
- Lead failure mode and effects analysis (AMDEC) and propose solutions proportionate to project complexity
- Develop 3D volumetric models and technical solutions using SolidWorks, including technical drawings with functional dimensioning
- Participate in development meetings and risk analyses through project completion, managing design studies activities and timelines
- Coordinate partial and complete mockup fabrication with partner workshops and internal fab lab for design validation before prototype launch
- Support partners through all phases including design review, sampling, mockups, and prototype stages
- Conduct dimensional inspection of mockups and prototypes to verify product and process feasibility
- Develop and manage prototype testing plans
- Support industrialization team to ensure manufacturing compliance with technical and design specifications
- Update and complete technical documentation during prototyping phases prior to pre-series launch
- Develop external testing networks by qualifying laboratories and universities for trials, analysis, and numerical simulations
- Continuously improve CAD tools and product specification methods
- Participate in project debriefs to enhance processes and working methods on an ongoing basis
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or university
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar design engineering or CAD project management role
- Advanced proficiency with CAD design tools
- Strong project management competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Preferred: Knowledge of high-end furniture and wooden object manufacturing principles and sensitivity to design aesthetics
- Fluent English; Italian is a plus

Experience
Minimum 1 year in a similar design engineering or project management role within furniture, luxury goods, or industrial product development.
Education
Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school (école d'ingénieur) or university in a relevant discipline such as industrial design, mechanical engineering, product design, or equivalent.
