Hermès is seeking a CAD Project Assistant to support the Bureau des Orfèvres, which develops metal components for leather goods, fashion accessories and IDO across two collections. The full-time, six-month internship is based in Pantin and starts in February 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create CAD concepts from sketches or ideas using SolidWorks.
- Assess feasibility and industrialization requirements.
- Conduct finite element simulation studies.
- Contribute to risk analysis using FMEA and 8D methods, and propose solutions to mitigate identified risks.
- Carry out functional analysis.
- Participate in development meetings to modify or validate models.
- Keep development schedules on track.
- Provide technical validation of prototypes.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications and drawings.
- Validate master models and monitor manufacturing processes with suppliers.
- Assign new metal accessory projects to suppliers in collaboration with the CAD, purchasing, procurement and metal accessories quality leads.
- Plan and monitor development and industrialization stages, and report on progress.
- Communicate project progress to the CAD lead.
- Support prototyping and refinement phases.
- Anticipate, manage and mitigate project risks with the development and quality manager.
- Share necessary information with relevant stakeholders at the appropriate time.
- Challenge suppliers and partners on designs and technical choices.
Qualifications
- Hold a five-year higher education qualification from an engineering school.
- Strong conceptual abilities and an interest in innovation.
- Knowledge of mechanics, surface modeling and prototyping.
- Be proactive, precise and rigorous.
- Be responsive and autonomous, with strong synthesis skills.
