Hermès Sellier in Pantin seeks a fixed-term Buyer — Jewellery Supply Chain for on-site audits and supplier securing (6-month contract).
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct on-site audits of subcontractors autonomously; evaluate workshop practices and risks.
- Analyse field findings, consolidate risk analysis data and identify points of attention.
- Manage follow-up of audits and implementation of corrective action plans until closure.
- Monitor supply-chain performance indicators, analyse variances and propose corrective actions.
- Escalate relevant field observations and propose pragmatic, prioritised improvements to the category buyer.
- Support sourcing activities: identification, audit and homologation of new suppliers.
- Contribute to the definition and deployment of securing plans in collaboration with internal control.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and help structure tools and processes to support quality assurance.
- Engage with workshop interlocutors with assertiveness and diplomacy; formalise and communicate standards with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or business school diploma (Master's-level preferred).
- Solid understanding or demonstrated interest in RSE/HSE topics is highly desirable.
- Sensitivity to high-value, hand-crafted jewellery products and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical judgement and ability to interpret complex or ambiguous field situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; assertive yet diplomatic communication style.
- Proactive mindset with capacity for synthesis, rigour, organisation and confidentiality.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, supplier management or quality/sourcing within a manufacturing or jewellery environment.
Education
Engineering school or business school degree; postgraduate-level study preferred. Knowledge of RSE/HSE principles advantageous.
