Hermès Parfums — Business Manager, Selfridges Birmingham: lead the new Fragrance & Beauty counter (full-time) and deliver sales, team development and retail excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the new Hermès Fragrance & Beauty counter at Selfridges Birmingham, opening July 2026, ensuring exceptional customer experience through personal example and team coaching.
- Deliver retail sales targets and KPIs by preparing, implementing and monitoring quarterly business plans, trade activations and launch-specific initiatives.
- Recruit, manage and develop a small team of fragrance and beauty consultants, delivering individual development plans, regular feedback, 1:1s, briefs and formal appraisals.
- Maintain best‑in‑class operational standards including housekeeping, visual merchandising, POSM management and accurate administrative reporting.
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with Selfridges store management and partner retail colleagues to secure operational support and trading opportunities.
- Manage staffing and budgetary controls (staffing, overtime, POSM, expenses), maintaining accurate records and reviewing performance with the Regional Manager.
- Implement structured post‑purchase follow‑up and customer acquisition initiatives to grow the customer database and improve retention and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing fragrance and beauty consultants or retail teams, preferably in premium or luxury beauty environments.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering against retail KPIs.
- Exceptional presentation and client‑facing skills consistent with a luxury brand.
- Strong reporting capability — able to prepare analysis reflecting KPIs, productivity, trading conditions and customer insights.
- Makeup and fragrance training preferred.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with partner agencies and third‑party retail teams.

Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing fragrance and beauty teams in a premium retail setting, with demonstrated success meeting sales targets, coaching staff and executing launch activations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; formal qualifications or training in beauty, cosmetics, retail management or related fields preferred.
