Hermès Australia seeks a Back of House Team Leader in Brisbane to lead inventory, store administration and BOH operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the back‑of‑house teams (admin, after‑sales, cashiers, service) including rostering, performance management, coaching and training.
- Design, implement and enforce store operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with audit and internal control requirements (cash handling, security, data privacy, remote selling).
- Own inventory management: shipping & receiving, stockroom layout and labelling, cycle counts, reconciliations, packaging replenishment and ageing‑stock reduction initiatives.
- Manage store administration functions: after‑sales processes, store card matters, cashiering, CRM workflows and regular reporting (sales, KPIs, CRM).
- Act as liaison with Head Office Operations, external vendors and suppliers for maintenance, IT and project rollouts; ensure functionality and compliance of systems including Cegid and phone systems.
- Support merchandising and fulfilment for customer orders, bulky/special orders (furniture, Petit h) and related logistics.
- Drive and implement group retail projects (e.g., HLink, Ala Carte), coordinate in‑store events and deliver timely operational training to staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum six years of retail management experience with demonstrable responsibility for stock and operations; prior luxury retail experience preferred.
- Proven experience in implementing operational controls, conducting inventories and resolving stock discrepancies.
- Strong leadership record with ability to manage, prioritise and develop a large team in a high‑service environment.
- Full working rights in Australia (eligibility requirement).

Minimum six years of progressive retail management experience with solid expertise in inventory control, store operations and team leadership; luxury boutique experience is highly desirable.
Education
Tertiary qualification in business, retail management, logistics or equivalent professional experience.
