Hermès Maison — Paris (Pantin): Assistant Textile Designer (6‑month internship) supporting Art de Vivre on home textiles and objects, Sept 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Art de Vivre design team in the development of new home objects, textiles, cushions and accessories from concept to collection.
- Produce graphic research, compositions and scale adaptations from existing drawings for a range of objects in the collection.
- Prepare technical sketches, 3D simulations, colourways, colouration sheets and material nomenclatures for review and prototyping.
- Conduct competitive and market research across relevant sectors (textiles, furniture, décor, child, travel accessories, tableware) to inform creative direction.
- Compile iconographic research and define coordinated colour ranges and thematic universes for collection planning.
- Design and layout internal presentation materials and visual supports for creative reviews with Direction de Création.
- Organise studio documentation and prepare meeting materials; coordinate with operational teams for prototype development and calendar deadlines.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a recognised programme in textile design and/or graphic design; combined training in product design is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of textile techniques, materials and colour theory; proven colourist sensibility.
- Keen interest in design, architecture and contemporary art, with active awareness of trends in interior living and child universes.
- Curiosity, cultural literacy and a proactive approach to research and trend analysis.
- Highly organised, precise and able to work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams and to meet strict timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all stages of creation and prototype production.

Experience
Entry-level — suitable for students or recent graduates; beginners accepted. Prior academic project work or internships in textile, surface or product design preferred.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a textile design, graphic design or product design programme; double-specialisation in product/design is a plus.
Workplace
This position is based in Pantin, Île-de-France, France, within easy reach of Paris.
