Hermès seeks an Assistant Manager for its Scottsdale boutique opened in 2025. Lead retail operations, manage sales staff, and drive client experience in this luxury supervisory role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach sales staff daily, providing training and guidance to achieve sales objectives
- Model exceptional service on the sales floor and ensure all team members embody the Hermès brand spirit
- Identify sales opportunities through weekly business reviews by métier, tracking deliveries and special orders to evaluate team and boutique performance
- Conduct monthly touch-base meetings and annual performance evaluations in conjunction with the Managing Director and Floor Director
- Communicate and enforce CRM standards, ensuring daily associate compliance and maximum quality of client data capture according to HOP standards
- Clearly communicate policies and procedures to the team and ensure active compliance across all operations
- Monitor E-time systems and staffing schedules; maintain accurate records of vacation, attendance, and time off in coordination with HR
- Organize and facilitate seasonal training sessions on key métier points and Porte updates; ensure sales team integration of product knowledge into client conversations
- Assist in maintaining candidate database and support recruiting and interviewing efforts to fill open store positions
- Make critical client and business decisions; assume full operational control during Managing Director and Floor Director absences
- Maintain stock levels across all métiers of responsibility, monitor merchandising optimization standards (MOS), and ensure sell-through targets align with HOP standards
- Achieve annual sales goals for the location and ensure profitability while maintaining inventory accuracy within company parameters
Qualifications
- 4+ years of retail management experience
- Prior experience in a luxury retail environment preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid, and E-time systems
- Ability to learn merchandise, POS, and payroll systems and effectively troubleshoot issues
- Ability to interpret sales data and translate findings into effective business recommendations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 0–25 lbs without assistance
- Flexible availability to meet business needs

4+ years of retail management experience; prior luxury retail experience is preferred.
