Hermès Parfum & Beauté seeks a six-month intern as Assistant Area Sales Manager for Travel Retail Europe, based in Paris. Analytical role in sales support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly sell-in (revenue and invoicing) analysis for travel retail clients against predefined KPIs in collaboration with Area Managers
- Analyse monthly sell-out performance across retailers by category (perfumes, beauty, airports, etc.)
- Develop and implement action plans to optimize sales performance and revenue trajectory
- Monitor annual product launches, tracking sell-in and sell-out metrics to optimize revenue management
- Manage stock oversight and stock-out notifications across accounts
- Execute merchandising compliance audits against approved plans, ensuring brand excellence and Hermès Parfum & Beauté visual standards
- Coordinate between field teams and operational marketing to implement negotiated in-store activations
- Consolidate field team resources including training materials, visual guidelines, and product documentation
- Maintain daily communications with on-site sales teams
- Monitor promotional budget allocation (testers, gift-with-purchase items, point-of-sale materials) including forecasting and spend tracking
- Prepare and track purchase orders and process invoices
- Support annual budget preparation exercises
- Assist with strategic client presentations including market plans, business reviews, assortment recommendations, and action plans
- Execute junior key account manager responsibilities including client contact, presentations, and negotiation preparation
- Develop referencing and assortment management files
- Prepare online launch files and maintain e-retailer point-of-sale tracking for authorized and non-authorized channels
- Participate in field visits and retail audits
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a business school, IAE programme, university degree, or equivalent
- Six months of prior professional experience in a similar commercial, key account management, or operational marketing role strongly preferred
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel (pivot tables, cross-tabulation analysis)
- Fluent English (essential; all communications conducted in English)
- Spanish or German language skills highly valued

Experience
Six months of prior professional experience in a commercial, key account management, or operational marketing function is strongly preferred. Beginners are accepted with demonstrated organizational skills and analytical capability.
Education
Current enrollment in a business school (École de Commerce), IAE programme, university degree programme, or equivalent qualification.
